About

Cheollipo Arboretum is Korea's first private arboretum, established in 1962 by Dr. Min Byeong-gal, who was born in Pennsylvania, USA in 1921 and later naturalized as a Korean citizen. Divided into seven zones, the arboretum appropriately arranges and manages diverse plant species according to the environment of each area. Cheollipo Arboretum boasts the largest number of plant species in Korea, with major plant groups including magnolias, camellia, holly, roses of sharon, and maples. It is an excellent place to visit with children and family to experience nature.
